ZLW-490SP Reproduction Griffin or Dragon Thumblatch Door Plate 23" Tall
This is a wonderful mythological griffin or dragon motif entrance door plate, for keyed cylinder front entrance use. A rare find by Sargent, made just before the turn of the century.
The head of the dragon is the working thumblatch device. Ours is recreated by the Lost Wax casting process (same method as fine-jewelry making) and is enhanced with an antique brass finish. Fits our lock with an entrance bolt & thumblatch lift and our double thumblatch mortise bolt, if you'd like a thumblatch inside and out. Both come in an antiqued finish.
Beautiful with Gothic, English Tudor, and Victorian decor, to name a few. We have the matching turnlatch door plate for your interior door, which provides a knob for turning the cylinder lock from the inside.
Backplate measures 23" x 3 3/8". Handle projects 3". From the center of the cylinder hole to the thumblatch bolt is 4 3/4".
