ZLW-202K Victorian Schlage Reproduction Large Lion Head Door Knob
Another outstanding antique "find". This wonderful giant lion's head brass door knob was found still mounted on an original Schlage display board.
Now for those who cannot get enough of this particular "king of the jungle" this could be the largest lion doorknob available outside Africa.
It is a whopping 3 3/8"diameter and is 2 7/8" tall & weighs in at about 1 1/2 pounds.
This knob is sold by each. To make a set, order two doorknobs and a doorknob shaft . For extra thick doors, you may purchase an extra long square doorknob shaft spindle separately, which may be trimmed as needed.
You might require the spring helper installed on the door backplate due to the knob's weight, to return it to its upright position. But, after you're done, your door will rooaaarrr! Sold in darkened "antique" finish to preserve the look of the genuine antique.
How far from the edge of the door is the center of your doorknob? Thisis the backset, and determines which latch or mortise lock you use. Fora 2 3/8" backset, we offer a tubular latch , and a privacy tubular deadbolt latch option. Very narrow panel doors or doors with lots of glass may need a 1 3/8" backset passage latch . To match this doorknob, order the Antique Brass finish latch or mortise.
If you prefer a full mortise lock with key function and mortise lock with privacy turnlatch function , we have 1 3/4", 2 1/4" or 2 5/8" backset. If you also need a turnlatch knob, we have an oval knob turnlatch , and the popular crescent shape turnlatch.
