381-ES-FS Art Deco Pair of Newly Re-Made Sconces Originally by Globe with Frosted Shades
381-ES-AM Art Deco Pair of Newly Re-Made Sconces Originally by Globe with Amber Shades
In the 1920’s and 1930’s, Globe Lighting Fixture Mfg. Co. was located in Brooklyn, NY on 7th Avenue and 12th Street. They were not as big as companies like Lincoln or Markel, but they did make some very interesting, and uniquely different Art Deco lights...and now...much harder to find Art Deco lights.
We have just completed a special contract for these sconces. As with any contract, we made a few extra to insure that we delivered the full contract quantity. At this time, we only have ONE pair of overage sconces to share. Since there is only one extra pair...it was decided to put them here in this section of the web offerings. The frames are solid brass with an antique finish. They can be highlighted to show even more brass when rubbed with fine steel wool to remove the antique finish.
The elements are very Streamline Deco and it must be admired that Globe designed and made a “step” shade which is so very hard to do when considering that it must be “mated” to a cast brass frame...and fit within that stepped brass frame.
Measurements: Overall height is 10 1/2”, 8” width, and 5” projection into the room.
This sconce does use a normal, medium base socket and has an on/off rotary switch. The sides are amber mica.
Price: This pair of complete UL sconces with fine unusual step shades is $965.00...plus shipping.
*We have both Frosted and Amber shades. The price is the same for either finish. Just tell us which one you would like. This offer only applies to this final pair of sconces.
