ZLW-189SP Antique Reproduction Pavia Pattern Entry Door Plate
VERY impressive! This is a reproduction of the "Pavia" pattern roaring lion doorknob backplate by P.F. Corbin, which can be seen in their Circa 1900 catalog.
This impressive exterior doorknob & cylinder backplate has a design of double full figured cherubs flanking a lion's head. It is meant to be used as an exterior door plate, with a doorknob on the bottom hole and a lock cylinder in the top hole.
Measurements:
-
Height: 18"
-
Width: 4"
-
Measurement from the center of the cylinder hole to the center of the doorknob spindle hole is 3 ¾".
-
Doorknob receiver has an 11⁄16" internal diameter.
Cast in solid brass using the lost wax method, the finish is "antiqued" and lacquered to preserve the tone.
The design is very classical Roman, which would look terrific in a French Revival, English Tudor, baroque, or Gothic style home as well.
Backplates are sold by "each".
On the interior of the door, you would use the matching door plate, which has a turnlatch on the door plate to lock the door from the inside.
You can use our antique reproduction mortise lock for this entry door plate.
Of course, we also offer the matching roaring lion doorknobs.
