ZE-546  Russell & Erwin Lost Wax Cast Door Plate

This smaller backplate was manufactured by R & E, which was patented in Jan 25, 1870.  Lost Wax Cast in solid brass to be authentic to the original, hand darkened to a antique brass finish, and lacquered to preserve the perfect "antique" tone.

Distance from the center of knob to center of the keyhole round bit is 2 1/2".  There is a keyhole cover built into the design. Use our L-102 Mortise lock.

Please measure before ordering, 2 1/2" knob to keyhole is less common. If you need the more common 2 1/4" size please order ZE-546C

Don't forget to select an authentic R&E reproduction doorknob, such as the symbolic crane (long life) doorknob ZE-971, or the very rare knob ZE-001, for a beautiful classic entry.  We offer 11 doorknob choices in the R&E Series.
