Victorian style acanthus design doorset.  The acanthus design was used on ancient Greek and Roman buildings, and has had many revivals throughout history, most recently during the Victorian era.  The acanthus plant and its design motif symbolize enduring life or immortality.

This is an interior tubular privacy set which locks from one side using a turnlatch.

Each Set Includes:

• 1 Doorplate with Lower Knob Only Function
• 1 Doorplate with Turnlatch Function
• 2 Doorknobs with the Connecting Spindle
• 1 Tubular Passage Latch
• 1 Tubular Deadbolt Latch
• 1 Catchplate for Both Deadbolt and Passage Latch

Measurements:

• Doorplates:  2 ⁷⁄₈" wide x 9 ¾" tall.
• Doorknobs:  2 ¾" tall x 1 ¾" wide; each projects 2 ¼".
• Passage Latch:
  • Backset:  2 ³⁄₈"
  • Latch Face:  1" x 2 ¼"
  • Latch can be installed by drilling a ⁷⁄₈" hole, then recessing the wood for the 1"x 2 ¼" latch face.
• Deadbolt:
  • Backset:  2 ³⁄₈"
  • Case:  3 ¼" long x ¹³⁄₁₆" tall x ⁹⁄₁₆" deep.
  • Deadbolt Face:  2 ¼" x 1 ¹⁄₁₆"
• Catchplate:  4 ½" tall x 1" wide (minus tongue).
