Victorian style acanthus design doorset.  The acanthus design was used on ancient Greek and Roman buildings, and has had multiple revivals throughout history, most recently during the Victorian era.  The acanthus plant and its design motif symbolize enduring life or immortality.

The complete door set is available in Polished Unlacquered Brass (which will develop a natural patina over time, just like the original Victorian hardware), or our hand-finished, mellow brown, Antique Brass Finish (pictured).  Also available in our matte black Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish.

This Interior Mortise Privacy Set locks from one side using a turnlatch.

Each Set Includes:

• 1 Door Plate with Lower Doorknob Only Function
• 1 Door Plate with Lower Doorknob & Turnlatch Function
• 2 Doorknobs with the Connecting Spindle
• 1 Mortise Lock with Turnlatch Function (choice of 2 ¼" or 2 ⁵⁄₈" backset)

• Doorknobs:  2 ¾" tall x 1 ¾" wide; projects 2 ¼".
