We think this sconce is so very nice. Sort of like having a bronze figure and lovely sconce together at the same time. A very nice talking point in any room.
The figural griffin is well detailed and is solid brass/bronze. It has been darkened to great effect and definitely has a 1870’s gothic look about it.
Measurements: 10” tall (from the bottom of the backplate to the top of the fitter) by 4” wide.
The backplate is 4” in diameter.
The sconce projects from the wall 8” before the shade is added.
This sconce weighs in at over four pounds. Adding a shade will push the weight closer to 5 pounds. Final overall measurements will be determined by which shade is chosen. The fitter receives a 4” fittered shade. In keeping with the “gothic” look, we are showing it with a 4” fittered flame shade, 0190G, but we have tried a variety of shades..and...they all look very good with great effects. Shades are sold separately.
The brass socket can easily handle a 100 watt bulb.
