288-AGE-DK Antique Brass Finish (Pictured) Recreated Victorian Phoenix Bird Transitional Sconce Circa 1890
Here is a whimsical and well done Lost Wax Cast Brass Sconce. A phoenix bird, not only rising from the ashes, but holding two shades as well.
We don't know who originally made this unusual circa 1890 sconce, but it was a quality creation just like its re-creation. What an impressive sight this would be either side of the bathroom mirror! Or in a series ascending a Gothic staircase.
Sold in our two top brass finishes: polished, unlacquered brass, or already "mellowed" for you into a heritage "antique" finish.
Measurements: Overall height is 24". Sconce projects from the wall 12". Width, including the 0179G gas shade on top, is 7 1/2".
Shades sold separately. Top gas shade has a 4" fitter, while the bottom shade is 2 1/4" fitter. Seen with our hand cut crystal gas and electric shades: 0179G and 0178G.
For a mythical theme, use our beautiful goddess figural chandelier, or Zeus figural chandelier. Pair with our Winged Messenger Sconces, or newel post lights, in both female and male figures.
