This is the fine sconce from the Devon Series that was made by Mid-West Mfg of Kansas City. Mid-West was one of America’s BEST Art Deco manufacturers during the depression times.
Even in the bad times, there are still folks who are clever and make money. Mid-West catered to them. This slip shade sconce was made with a strap to hold the shade in place instead of popping out too easily.
This wall fixture, cast by the lost wax casting process, is made from solid brass and comes in your choice of three finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass Finish, or nicely Nickel Plated for just the right touch in your Art Deco décor. Quality!
We also offer the matching nickel chandelier, 128-DEB-X.
The socket can handle up to a 100 watt incandescent bulb, or purchase our optional LED Art Deco looking bulb 9W-E26CN-X, using only 9 watts and putting out about 100 watts of incandescent equivalent light. Makes running the sconce all night long, perhaps as a nite lite, very economical indeed and cool to the shade as well.

-

In order to match historical appearance, some colored shades are made using a water based dye or paint. Clean with a soft dry cloth. Do not wet.
Many of our glass shades are made using original molds and methods. Both antique and reproduction shades sometimes contain small bubbles. These are historically accurate, and not considered defects.
