Unusual shutter dog (shutter holder).  Woman's head lifts up and falls forward to allow the shutter to pass.  Then you upright the head and it locks at 90 degrees as shown.

Black cast iron.  Use for both left and right shutters.

Clever idea and while the woman's detail is not lost wax quality, it has a nice ambiance.  Would also make a good valance scarf holder.

Measurements:  The length of the back of the case to the back of the female figure's head is 1 1/4".  The threaded portion alone measures 2 7/8".  Overall height is 2 5/8".
