In Victorian times, wall sconces were called "bracket lights" or simply "brackets".  Companies such as HJ Peters of Chicago, and Gibson Gas of Philadelphia made nearly identical brackets, making only minor changes from one another.  Today, they're used to illuminate not only a bathroom vanity, but hallways, staircases, and more.

Sold in four finishes:  polished brass (pictured), antique brass, oil rubbed bronze, and for a soft silver tone, pewter finish, which complements Colonial Revival decor nicely.

Glass shades sold separately, but comes complete with center porcelain candle and bobeche (drip saver).  Glass shade fitter size is 4" up-style.  We picture 063G as a suggestion.  We offer many 4" glass shades to suit every décor.

Wattage:  Two medium base bulbs up to 100 watts incandescent, and one candelabra bulb up to 75 watts, for a total of 275 watts maximum.

Below we show several options that would work well with this sconce.  The two-light 513-MGE-SA would be a terrific entry or hall light.  We can adjust the height of the stem to any length.  For an earlier period décor, try a candle chandelier.  To place your Victorian home in the transitional period at the turn of the century, use the candle & electric chandelier.
