This is a classy Neo-Grecian Revival five-light chandelier, cast in polished, unlacquered brass. Seen from below in a dining room or entry hall, you can appreciate the details as they were enjoyed over 100 years ago. Each gaslight arm is shaped as though a flower stem, ending in the "bloom" of light. Even the gas key is a leaf shape, making this suitable for Art Nouveau decor as well.
This chandelier is attributed as being originally produced by Mitchell-Vance, and it has been recreated with only the finest materials and techniques. The central stem vase was recreated with a 5-part "break-down" spinning die, which took 3 months to make.
The height is 34" overall, but it can be shortened to 27". With shades the spread is 26".
The bottom of the fitter is open, allowing light to fall below the chandelier as well as above. Fixture uses 4" fitter glass shades. Shades are sold separately.
Shades Are sold Seperate. This chandelier looks wonderful with either our 054G (as shown), 0245G, or 0175G shades. If you have high ceilings, see our extension kit, which adds up to 65" to the mounting stem.
We show this chandelier in a polished, unlacquered brass, but if you prefer we can hand-finish it to an antique brass, pewter, or oil rubbed bronze patina. The hand applied finishes bring out the cast details beautifully.
