518-FGE-DK Gibson 8 Light Chandelier in Antique Brass Finish
518-FGE-OB Gibson 8 Light Chandelier in Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish
Another lovely pierced body chandelier, attributed to Gibson Gas Fixture Works, Philadelphia, PA. from their catalog #20, Circa 1890. A unique small radius fixture with 4 up and 4 down arms. This fixture is unusual because the gas arms come from a cluster at the bottom of the lamp and the electric arms radiate downwards from a cluster near the top of the fixture.
Naturally our trade secret pierced "football" shaped center is a wonderful focal point of this nice chandelier. A beautiful cast and pierced plate surmounts the light. The fixture has a light and delicate nature compared to the robust nature of 466-FGE-CH .
Shades sold separately. Fixture uses shade fitters size: Gas 4", Electric 2 1/4". We picture matched set 076G and 077G as a suggestion, but have many from which to choose.
We also offer a matching Newel Post light . Having a newel post in the stairway adds that Victorian touch that no other lighting can accomplish. We sell pierced brass sconces and close ceiling lights also. Only two are seen below, our close ceiling light 80-CCL-TL , and double sconce 514-DFE-ES . Match the shades to look like original fixtures in your period home.
