514-DFE-ES Polished Unlacquered Brass Reading Hardware Electric Sconce
514-DFE-DK Antique Brass Finish Early 1900's Double Electric Sconce
In the early 1900's, when elaborate decoration was giving way to inexpensive fixtures, a few companies continued to produce high-end quality. Attributed to the Reading Hardware Co, of Reading, PA. Circa 1905.
Lost wax cast, the center pierced cone decoration is unique and desirable in knowledgeable lighting circles. The "Swan Neck" arms are topped off with one of the most beautiful decorative arm-backs we have ever seen.
