850-CCL Large and Impressive Low Ceiling Chandelier
This antique design breaks the mold for most lighting. Normally, a fixture that is made to go on a lower ceiling has a small diameter in keeping with the ceiling height. This light breaks that mold.
It has a great 35” diameter with a mere 14” hang height. Naturally, it can be extended by adding longer tubes, but as shown, the mounting height is 14”. The entire chandelier, with the bowl shade, has a weight of 60 pounds (depending on casting weight). This is great for large rooms that should have a large chandelier but are limited because of the ceiling being lower proportions.
It fills a neat gap in the design considerations.
Being a high-end fixture, it is made from solid brass/bronze materials so it is really not a light weight fixture. It is quality. Add that we duplicated a historic embossed Glass ceiling bowl that measures an impressive 20” fitter (overall 21 1/8") in diameter, and so, this fixture becomes rather unique.
We could also tint the glass bowl to amber for a nominal charge if so desired.
Lighting sockets can be seen from a top view picture. There is a medium base cluster inside the bowl with six sockets. Around the edge, and lighting the halo of MICA panels, are chandelier sockets to give a radiance to that mica halo.
