598-SGE-SA Antique Brass Finish Mission Candle & Electric 8 Light Chandelier
598-SGE-OB Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish Mission Candle & Electric 8 Light Chandelier
Combination gas and electric fixtures were made at the turn of the century, and for as long as 20+ years thereafter. Electrical supplies were not always reliable in every location of America at this time.
There were two main types of "up" gas fixture. One was a simple candle tube as shown here, and the other was a wider flame burner surrounded by a glass shade, as appears elsewhere on this site. The style continues today because it's so practical for providing ambient light, and down light for meals or work surface.
The candle chandelier above is priced with the milkglass candle tubes and drip savers included. Glass electric shades use fitter size 2 1/4", and are ordered separately in this case. Suggested shades for this fixture are: 065G, 080G, 083G (as shown), or 093G.
