ANT-985 Art Deco Slip Shade Scarce Bowl Chandelier--Circa 1935
This chandelier has five drop in amber shades. It is a unique DECO bowl fixture that has a combination of metals and finishes. There is old-gold; nickel plating; clear glass stem section and amber glass drop in shades.
This is a very un-common fixture, very seldom seen. Very collectible and a great conversation item. The designs of the bowl are outstanding matched only by the design of the slip-in shades. The bowl has a use rubbed finish and some aged appearance in keeping with it’s antique nature. The ceiling canopy shows that the fixture has been moved a few times with some roughness which we photographed. The nicest thing is that the finish IS original and authentic. For an antique of this scarce nature...it is a nice attribute.
All amber shades are in very nice condition with just a tiny bit of roughness that reflects their age. There are five normal medium base sockets (one for each shade) and each socket is capable of receiving a 100 watt bulb.
Measurements: Chandelier: It has a diameter of about 16” and a height of 21”.
The chandelier has been completely re-wired, in our UL shop, with new sockets and wiring to conform to UL guidelines. And, as mentioned, each socket is capable of accepting a 100 watt bulb.
This chandelier is ready to go and will be supplied with all the necessary mounting hardware.
Price: Complete, UL re-wired unique and scarce chandelier: $ 950.00 plus careful shipping.
