ANT-967  Art Deco 3 Shade Pendant by Markel

Antique Art Deco Slip Shade three shade Pendant by Markel. This light, Circa 1935, was part of their "8800 series". This chandelier was Model 8813. Their 1930s catalog says it has a spread of 17“.

Markel was one of the biggest companies working in the Great Depression and had locations in America and Canada and Australia. They made a lot of the antique slip shade fixtures in antique shops today and were a quality company.

Old Gold finish. The finish, while being cleaned up “a mite“, is original and simply antique to the max with rub marks and some chipping. We took a picture of the ceiling canopy, of the light, to show you what we mean by “antique”. If you need perfect...don’t buy this fixture...it looks and is...an antique with a condition commensurate with it’s age and use.

The shades are simply a treat and in remarkable condition. Probably made by Consolidated Glass or another quality glass house. We re-wired this neat pendant in our UL shop.

Measurements:  Approx, per original catalog....17” diameter. It hangs is 22” which could be lengthen ...if...a longer hang height is desired.
