ANT-962  Nice Pair of French Circa 1935 Art Deco Slip Shade Sconces

Very nice frame design which is antiqued brass. Very nice amber shades which are in simply in great condition for their age. Simple but elegant and an iconic motif for the Art Deco period.

When received, these sconces had French sockets which were changed, in our UL shop, to standard American E-12 chandelier sockets.

Therefore: w e have totally re-wired these sconces in our UL shop with American E-12 chandelier base sockets and new supply wires. We did this so we could use our special long LED fiber light bulb which gives an outstanding lighting affect rather than hot spots. (E12-5W27 see picture below) And...we will include these bulbs with the sconces. They are dimmable and have a soft incandescent light color rather than the harsh white LED light.

These sconces do not, and never did, have switches since that is not necessarily a French custom. If you wish to use the dimmable function of our bulbs, you will need an LED dimmer. Incandescent dimmers generate “electronic noise” which causes LED bulbs to mis-function.

We changed the mounting as well. It now mounts to a standard American electrical box with the AN standard American crossbar which will be supplied.

Measurements:  Overall from the top of the shade to the bottom of the frame is 11”. Maximum width is 9” with a maximum projection from the wall of 5”.
