ANT-914   Original Antique Gill Pub Chandelier c1930

Fantastic, and very scarce, five light theme chandelier from Gill Manufacturing Circa 1930.  Gill named this series, that used a keg motif for a shade, the “Novel Lighting Fixtures“ line.   

In their catalog they state that these fixtures were for “Taverns“, “Rathskellers” and “Tap Rooms”.  Does not lessen the dramatic effect of us using them today for a special  “man cave”. or “home bar” or even a theme “watering hole”.  

Gill also bragged,  in their 30s catalog, that the glass keg shades were true reproductions of real wood carvings.  This series did also contain single shade light fixture that came in various sizes but this five light chandelier was their top-of-the-line.

Measurements:

• Height: 24” tall but since it has a chain link,  it can be lengthened.
• Diameter: about 19” outside shade to outside shade.

Electrical:  Completely rewired, in our UL listed shop, with new high grade sockets and new central lead wire.  Each socket is quite capable of a 100 watt light bulb...but to be on the safe side with old glass shades,  we would suggest powerful LED lights which would be filtered thru the amber glass shades.

The metal frame is presented with an old world antique pewter finish.

The chandelier fastens directly to a UL approved electrical box with a threaded center rod and crossbar.  All mounting necessary mounting supplies will be provided.
