ANT-842 Vintage Art Deco Nickel Plated French Ezan Style Chandelier Circa 1920 - 1930
Really quite lovely. Here we have a fine French chandelier attributed to Ezan that demonstrates the variations of the Art Deco design in one lovely fixture. Circa 1920-30, it is truly a striking chandelier.
The shades are really quite unique. Heavy cast glass with heavy embossed designs. Add to those lovely shades...the lovely drips of glass spilling over the center bowl of the chandelier, and you can see the design excellence from Ezan.
This chandelier has been completely re-wired in our UL shop. It has new American E12 chandelier sockets, and all new wire. There are three candelabrum sockets within the center bowl, so we have additional ambient lighting. The five shades around the center bowl are also wired with American candelabrum sockets built inside the original French/British style B-22 pin socket housing. Kinda clever, so we can use the original shades without any noticeable difference at all.
To complete a quality look, we installed the new COB style LED light bulbs into these E12 sockets, so that you get a lot of light...but do not see the light bulb poking its head above the shade...which is normally rather unattractive when using incandescent bulbs. And yes...dimmable LED COB bulbs (with an LED dimmer switch - which we also market if needed) are wonderful and readily obtainable on eBay. We will, however, give you the full initial COB LED set to begin with.
Measurements:
-
Height: 31" overall.
-
Diameter: 29" maximum, including the shades.
Price for the chandelier is only $2,200.00 plus careful packing and shipping. I say "only" because if you have done some chandelier shopping elsewhere, you will know that some folks are asking upwards of $4,000.00 for a fixture of this type, and often, not as nice as this one. And, they cannot even give you a UL approval since they are not a UL shop. We're more realistic and believe that fair pricing is best.
