ANT-841 Antique Neo Rococo Sea Serpent & Acanthus Leaf Motif Entry Hall Pendant Light
Late Victorian or Edwardian ornate brass hall light with cut shades. Pretty nice to find an unusual light with shades that is still in this nice condition. Yes, there are parts that show minor marks of age-related living, but for the most part...this is an exceptional example of artful lighting with original cut glass and frosted shades.
Circa 1890 to 1920, this fine Rococo style fixture has been cleaned up to display a very fine condition hall light (as can be seen). Makes a great statement as to the antiquity of the light. The castings are so very fine. The motif of the sea serpent head holding each shade is really quite iconic for the period, harkening back to Roman and Greek influences.
This fine hall light has been completely re-wired with new sockets and all new wire in our UL listed workshop. For the photographs, we used low wattage bulbs to take the pictures so the automatic lens would not be blown-out by the strong light. Naturally, when you place normal bulbs into this chandelier, the shades will glow nicely and much more warmly.

Price: $1,750.00 for this fine hall light with original shades, and having been completely re-wired and ready to hang...plus careful packaging and shipping.
