ANT-785  Pair of Antique 1920s Edwardian Wall Sconces with Cup Shades

Pair of Edwardian circa 1920 wall sconces.

Mixed metals are being used here, with a cast iron backplate and wrought steel metal arm and shade holder.  All finishes are matching pewter in color.

The antique shades are very nice, with a frosted background and clear designs.  Some wear and tear on the shade colors (as expected with old shades), but nothing terribly significant.  The design is embossed into the glass, which is a nice sign of quality.

Measurements:

• Height:  10 ¼" overall.
• Width:  6 ½" maximum, including the shade.
• Projection:  7 ½" from the wall into the room.

These sconces have been completely rewired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new original rayon twisty wire.  We have also replaced the switches, made by Leviton in the 20s...and still made up to two years ago.  So these switches, by Leviton, are becoming even more antique as we note this.
