Edwardian Style Pair of Antique Wall Sconces Circa 1910 - 1920 Lights (ANT-741)

ANT-741  Lovely Pair of 1910-20 Edwardian Red Bronze Finish Polychrome Wall Sconces

Original antique sconces, with an original polychrome red bronze style coloring...although...like a good oriental carpet, it is subdued and mellow, and even has some wear.  It is in pretty good condition for all this time, though it probably could be brightened up.  However, we like antiques to look like antiques, so we will leave it to the next owner to make that final finish decision.

There are also some minor cast metal stress cracks to the bobèches, which has existed since the manufacture time, as shown in the close up picture.  Our attitude is...it is an antique.

The shades are really nicely unique too.  Heavy cast glass, with heavy embossed designs.

Measurements:

  • Height:  10 ¾" overall.
  • Width:  6" maximum, including the shade.
  • Projection:  6 ½" from the wall into the room.

These sconces have been completely rewired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the rotary switches, made by Leviton in the 20s, and still made up to three years ago.  So these switches by Leviton are becoming even more antique as we note this.

Price for the pair: $485.00 plus careful packing and shipping.
