ANT-729 Pair of Antique Two-Arm Wall Sconces Circa 1920s
Wonderful pair of matching 1920s to Art Deco sconces.
The backplates are cast iron with a lovely pewter patina. The center section has a variation of the hammered effect pattern, but is more stylized. Note too, that the first level of the fitter for the shades matches the arm pattern. A striking design which would work with so many decorative motifs like: Arts & Crafts; Gothic; Deco; and even a 20s look.
The shades are great quilted amber and tall glass cylinders. Very minor roughness in a very few places...but not really noticeable. The shades are taller than normal, so we would suggest the use of T10 tube bulbs to light more of the length of the shade. Normal medium base sockets have been installed.
