ANT-533 Very Nice Art Deco Streamline Metal and Glass Light Fixture Circa 1930+
While the '30s are most famous for slip shade fixtures, there were other types of lights being made during that time, including various ceiling bowls. Sometimes all glass...sometimes metal and glass...as we have here.
This ceiling bowl has some iconic touches for the Art Deco period. The standard yellow color used on so much Art Deco, and then contrasting with the nickel colored metal rims that have those grooved Streamline designs. Add to that an amber glass center with great design, and you have a different Art Deco offering. Not to forget the glass flowers on the outside of the bowl. Yes...very interesting Streamline designed Art Deco ceiling bowl that is not easily confused with a different period or motif.
