ANT-483 Pair of Unusual American Art Deco Slip Shade Sconces by Globe Circa 1933
These sconces were made by Globe Lighting Fixture Mfg of Brooklyn, NY. They are listed in their 1933 catalog, and are stock numbered 5071. (courtesy Kelly Art Deco Light Museum)
The backplates have a pewter hi/lo finish, and are quite nice. They have been restored (cleaned up) and re-lacquered.
The shades are embossed (like carving) and the design is excellent.
Electrical: These sconces have been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Normal bakelite sockets for everyday medium base bulbs have been installed just like the originals. A rotary on/off switch has been renewed as well. The sconce mounts with one normal sconce mounting all-thread to a normal electrical box from within the case. All mounting hardware will be supplied.
