Antique Art Deco 6 Light, top-of-the-line, chandelier with original shades. Circa 1934-6
This chandelier was the best from the line that having six shades and seven sockets (two in the bottom shade).
The finish is white metal, which was most common at the time with a few darkened accents.
The detail of the slip shades is nice but the outstanding detail of the bottom shade is rather
breath-taking. Surely it was made by Consolidated Glass works that made the finest lighting
glass in America until they went bankrupt 4 times (and thereby bought out three times) during the Great Depression.
This chandelier has been totally rewired with high grade sockets and new central lead wire. Sockets are UL approved for up to 100 watts incandescent up to 500 total incandescent watts for the outside slip shades. There is one socket for each slip shade and two sockets for the bottom disk that takes smaller bulbs.
Measurements: 31” tall with the two chain links as shown. And do note those chain links. They are scarce. Not just links of chain but two part assembled pattern links with are just so decorative all by themselves. It has a diameter of 17”.
