ANT-303 Art Deco Slip Shade pair of Sconces
Truly a streamline Art Deco pair of sconces. Often called “clam shell” sconces, they are as typical of the Deco era as they can be.
Marked contrast of old gold paint and what appears to be nickel contrasts. Striking indeed. The finish IS showing it’s signs of wear and could be cleaned up a mite, but will leave that to be decided by the new owner. The pictures do tell all we think.
The shades are in remarkable condition with strong coloring and a very pleasing appearance.
Measuring 9 1/2" tall with a width of 5 1/2" , they project into a room (from the wall) 5 1/2”
These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the switches, made by Leviton in the 20’s...and still made up to ONE year ago. So these switches, by Leviton are becoming even more antique as we note this.
Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice. We would recommend our LED candleabrum bulbs, 35C-E26 if you wish ambiant light rather than full room power. The ambiance of these is warm and draw so little electricity (1.6 watts) that we have known folks that leave them on 24/7. The bulbs do have an expected life of 25 - 30,000 hours.
$ 650.00 for the complete pair...
