Original Antique 3 light chandelier, #8403, by Lincoln Design Pat D-83270, Feb 10, 1931.
Yes...this is a well documented Art Deco chandelier. We have examples in our museum so
we can tell you even quite a bit about it.
Lincoln called these lights: “The Nile Group”. His advertising paragraph is quoted here:::::
“”Papyrus, Lotus and representations of other objects, which would impress themselves upon you should you drift along with the current of the historical old Nile, and ingeniously worked out in the beautiful aluminum grill work castings, in the soft golden colored glass which hides the bulbs, in the finish of brilliant polished metal shaded with brown and gold, called Chromium Gold.”“
Now while the above paragraph is a bit rambling and a bit mis-leading since they offered both the shades and metal in various finishes, it does give you a taste of the 1930’s favor.
