ANT-1422 Art Deco Mid-West Mnf. "Chesterton Series" 6-Light Chandelier
This chandelier was made by Mid-West Mfn. in Kansas City, KS. It was their best light in their "Chesterton" Series, ca. 1938. Top-of-the-line...it is a neat design for the more streamline design motif of the 1936 Deco era.
Sears bought this line for re-sale and changed the series name to "Mellow-Glow" for their 1938 Lightmaster Catalog.
The finish is old-gold finish with nickel accents. Very striking. This fixture could be lengthened or shortened by adding/subtracting chain links. The ceiling canopy is a little spotty with finish loss, which could either be polished out...or left as is.
The chandelier has been totally rewired with high-grade sockets and new central lead wire in our UL registered lighting department. The sockets are UL approved for up to 100 watts incandescent for each of the outside slip shades. The center shade has one medium base socket which would accept a smaller bulb simply because it does not have the room for a normal size bulb—very nice accent here.
Measurements: 24” tall with the two chain links as shown (can be shortened another inch by removing one of them). It has a diameter of 18”.
Full UL mounting kit will be supplied. Comes complete with shades and ready to hang.
Price: $1,250.00
