ANT-1408 Pair of Matched Antique Brass Restored Edwardian Close Ceiling Lights (Sold as a Set)
Excellent for a lower ceiling where substantial light is desired. While these lights were produced just slightly before the Art Deco era, they would have nicely graced a home from 1920 to 1940 with authentic ease.
The brass frames have a nice antique finish and are nicely floral embossed. Circa 1920, these fixtures were originally sold both as a close ceiling fixture and with a stem for a longer drop.
One of the most significant parts of these lights...is obviously...the shades. Wow…antique custard glass with deeply embossed cupids that are complete and original. This is kind of scarce. Yes...there is a bit of chipping on the fitters...as they say...commensurate with their age...BUT...there is no reason why these will not last another 100 years with care. Thankfully...only chips from installing and removing...no cracks that would ruin them. Surely worth proudly installing, and preserving, such unusual decor.
Both chandeliers have been totally rewired to UL code, with new sockets and wire, and are ready to grace a lovely home. We would suggest using cooler running LEDābulbs to preserve the neat shades. Each socket is fully capable of 100-watt incandescent bulb.
Measurements: 14" by 7 1/2” wide with a drop of only 7".
These lights fasten directly to a UL approved electrical box by the center finial. All mounting supplies will be furnished.
Price: $850.00 For the PAIR of UL restored close ceiling 2-shade chandeliers complete with their cupid shades...plus a normal shipping charge.
