ANT-1400 Fantastic SET Containing a Williamson Art 4-Light Art Deco Chandelier & Four Lovely Matching Sconces
Scarce combo...1930's chandelier and FOUR sconces...designed and made by R. Williamson & Co., and marketed in the 1930’s by Beardslee who had purchased the Williamson company for their excellent designs. A rare grouping for sure!
These lights retained their original Deco polychrome color finish, which has been nicely maintained. There are a few age chips in the paint here and there but because most of this in on the center stem, it’s not really seen when hanging—all commensurate with their age and no hacked-up touch-ups. Every lovely decorated metal panel of this great chandelier is impressed with the Beardslee logo as can be seen in one of the pictures. The sconces reflect time and ownership since two of the sconces are impressed Williamson...and the other two of the sconces are impressed with the Beardslee logo. All signed and documented even with a patent date of 1929.
The shades are in fantastic condition...and all are matching.

These fixtures have been totally rewired in our UL licensed shop. The sockets for the chandelier are normal, medium base socket for normal bulbs. The sockets for the sconces are chandelier sockets and the sconces do come with new short round LED bulbs that we think generate a very nice appearance.
The sconces have also been fitted with new rotary switches that are the identical type that Williamson used in the 1930’s. The goal was to maintain the originality of these fixtures as much as possible. Each shade socket is rated for 100 watts, so achieving 400 watts of light, in the chandelier, is very easy to do.
We will also be supplying all the brackets (crossbars) for all of these lights so literally, you can hang them all and have them working very soon after receipt. Just add bulbs of your choice for the chandelier.
It’s really an outstanding lighting group, which would be extremely hard to find.
