ANT-1386 Pair of Art Deco Wide-Slip-Shade Sconces
Sold by the pair.
These sconces, circa 1936, are in extremely good condition for their age.
The finish is original on the metal and is a nice, red bronze finish. The shades also have NOT been retouched and are original. Yes...that does mean that there is some age-use blemishes, but like a good Oriental carpet, it gives them a true antique ambiance.
Wide shades came a bit later in the Deco era. Their purpose was to spread a more even light as light bulbs were getting more powerful. They wanted to reduce the “hot spot” generated by narrow slip shades.
The shades are simply a treat and are in good condition. We have rewired these neat sconces in our UL shop complete with rotary switches on each one.
Measurements: 11” in height and a width of 8”. Protrudes into the room 7 1/2”.
These sconces will be supplied with a full UL mounting kits so just add the bulbs of your choice.
Price: Fantastic that we have four matching Wide-Shade sconces. However, we will sell them as each pair. $850.00 for each complete pair of UL rewired sconces…plus normal shipping charges.
