ANT-1376 Edwardian Ceiling Bowl Light Chandelier with Gentle Cut Glass Shades
It’s pretty nice to still find an unusual light with shades in this great condition. Yes, there are parts that show minor marks of age-related living, but for the most part...this is an exceptional example of lighting with original shades. Note the cut glass matching elements of the shades—in amber too.
Color of the bottom shade is slightly different...but that is normal for a light like this.
Normally these lights have simple reproduction frosted shades...but here we have the original cut Glass type amber shades that are a nice step above normal.
Circa 1910-20 or so, it has been restored to fine condition and as can be seen. It makes a great statement as to the antiquity of the light. The antique finish is simply stunning in quality contrasts.
For the photographs, we used low wattage bulbs to take the pictures so that the image would not be blown-out by a strong light. Naturally, when you place normal bulbs into this chandelier, the shades will glow nicely and more warmly. The drop down shades, each, can accept a 100-watt incandescent bulb. The center bowl lighting has been totally enhanced by our UL shop. Now there is a cluster of 3 bulbs within that nice bowl so you can really power up the output if so desired. All in all...there could be a full 700 watts of light with this fixture.
Most often, this type of light either has simple chain suspension or simple rod suspension. This fixture is a cut-above having 4 completely manufactured drop stems designed each with center decor. It is a nice touch showing that this fixture is truly nicer than most.
As mentioned, this chandelier has been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. This gives a nice lighting result.
Measurements: The Overall chandelier height is 33”. The diameter is 20” shade tip to shade tip.
A complete mounting kit will be supplied with the fixture.
