ANT-1349 Art Deco Green and Nickel-Banded Step-Layered Light
This is a very neat, single-bulb, step-shade light. This is kinda amazing since the green paint IS original. Yes, it has a nick here and there...but it’s original and in darn good condition for it’s age and originality.
Add to this neat original green...is the nice nickel banding rims... and then to top it off...or should we say “to bottom it all off”...the finial, at the bottom of the shade, actually allows light to gleam through. The stronger the bulb wattage...the more distinctive that final will glow. We have not seen this finial before now. Pretty scarce.
Small footprint: 14” diameter...and a variable hang height based on how the chain supports are adjusted for the height of the bulb chosen. Our photograph has the height at 10 1/2” using a small bulb for photography (small bulb...lots of extra chain inside the fixture.)
Looking at the last picture...you will see that the shade is hung with nickel chains. The original ones were so rusty they were stiff and ready to break. We replaced them. These new chains are totally adjustable for length to accommodate various sizes and lengths of light bulbs. As the chains were being replaced anyway...we left them LONG...so...if a monster bulb is desired...the chains could accommodate that length. Once you have the bulb of your choice installed...we suggest trimming those chains to the proper lengths.
This scarce Deco step-shade with lighted finial, is now supported in a more recent UL-approved light frame and does come complete with all the mounting hardware and new socket.
Price: $595.00 for this scarce, Art Deco offering...plus shipping.
