ANT-1348 Two Closely Matched Art Deco Slip Shade Newport Chandeliers-Circa 1935 (SOLD EACH)

These chandeliers were part of the Mid-West Mnf. “Newport” series...Circa 1935. Mid-West was located in Kansas City and had a reputation for making quality lighting. As proof, it did survive the Great Depression to be sold a few years ago...to Thomas Industries.
The metal of these lights is a mix of metals all finished to a very light pewter finish. Nice matching rustic frosted shades, which are all in fantastic condition, all show through a clear, frosted finish. The shades do NOT have darkness even though the pictures might be misleading.
Each socket, for each of the five shades, is capable of receiving a 100-watt bulb.
Streamline in design, this chandelier captures the essence of the movement.
Measurements: It has a diameter of about 17” and a height of 13”. (Yes, these chandeliers are for lower ceilings.)
These chandeliers have been completely re-wired, in our UL shop, with new sockets and wiring to conform to UL guidelines. Each socket is capable of accepting a 100-watt bulb.
These chandeliers are ready to go and will be supplied with all the necessary mounting hardware.
