Antique Williamson 4-Light Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier (ANT-1328)

ANT-1328  Antique Williamson 4-Light Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier

Here is a 1930's chandelier designed and made by R. Williamson & Co., and marketed in the 1930's by Beardslee, who had purchased the Williamson company for their excellent designs.

This light has retained its original Deco, polychrome color finish, which has been very beautifully maintained. There are a few age chips in the paint, here and there, but because most of this in on the stem, not really seen when hanging. Every lovely decorated metal panel of this great light is impressed with the Beardslee logo as can be seen in one of the pictures.

There is slight defect. A decorative point to a shade holding panel...is missing. Not significant loss, but it is gone and we must mention it. You can see this condition on the last picture of the bottom of the fixture.

Otherwise…what a gorgeous fixture, and in such great original antique condition! The shades are in fantastic condition.

Measurements: Height: 26", diameter: 19", and canopy diameter: 5 5⁄8".

The fixture has been totally rewired in our UL licensed shop. The sockets are new and are the identical type that Williamson used in the 1930’s. The goal was to maintain the originality of the fixture as much as possible. And it does look great. Each shade socket is rated for 100 watts; so achieving 400 watts of light is very easy to do. There is an old Bakelite socket in the bottom of the light, which originally was for the normal plugging in of an electric iron. While we have left the original socket in place, we have disconnected it since that does not meet UL approval. But…it is neat to have that as a talking point.

We will also be supplying the bracket (crossbar) for this light so, literally, you can hang this light and have it working minutes after receiving it.

It’s really an outstanding light.

Price: $1,250.00 plus shipping. A great value for an outstanding, hard-to-find, rewired, and signed Antique Art Deco Chandelier.
