ANT-1290 Pair of Edwardian Ceiling Lights with Puffy-Style Shades
Pretty nice to find a PAIR of unusual lights with shades, still in this nice condition. Yes, there are parts that show minor marks of age related living, but for the most part...these are nice examples of lighting with original shades for lower ceilings or smaller rooms. Each fixture can handle a 100 watt bulb...but...since the shades are older...LED bulbs might be a good idea.
Normally these lights have opal white or simple frosted shades...but here we have floral motif shades that are sometimes called Puffy after the Pairpoint works glass offerings. The flowers and trailing green foliage design is actually “puffed” out and then hand colored. Very attractive.
Circa 1920-30, they have been restored to fine condition for single bulb lights.
For the photographs, we used low wattage bulbs to take the pictures so the automatic lens would not be blown-out by the strong light. Naturally, when you place normal bulbs into this fixture, the shades will glow nicely with more warmly.
These lights have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire in our UL listed workshop.
Measurements: The Overall height is a mere 10”. The diameter is 8”.
A complete mounting kit will be supplied with each fixture.
Price: Sold ONLY as a pair since pairs are so hard to find. $650.00 for the pair with their floral puffy shades and having been completely UL restored and re-wired and ready to hang...plus careful packaging and shipping.
