ANT-1249 Pair of Art Deco Slip Shade Sconces with Amber Shades
Very good quality, Antique Original, Restored, Art Deco Wall Sconces Circa 1936. We recognize the shades as being from a little known company called Estellite but our resources are running a bit thin about them. We have one catalog, from 1936, that shows these shades.
Truly unusual Art Deco pairs of sconces. Different from the normal slip shade sconces that were made during the 20's and 30's as they are far more shapely and interesting.
These sconces have the original Red-Bronze finish over cast iron metal and are very decorative and striking. Naturally, being antiques, they show some rubs here and there but...all in all...very nice condition for their age.
The frames are just a wonderful design with drape type side scrolls and a base section with a rotary on/off switch.
Completely rewired to UL standards in our UL shop with new normal medium base sockets and rotary switches identical to the old ones.
Measurements: Each sconce is 9" tall by 5 1/2" wide and projects from the wall 5 3/4".
Pair of Estellite sconces, complete with Amber shades...as shown. Here is an unusual opportunity to achieve a matched set of 4 sconces if so desired...but...we will sell these as each pair. (As of now, only one pair left!)
Price: $850.00 (for pair of sconces) plus careful packaging and shipping.
