ANT-1229 Virden Art Deco Set Consisting of a 5-Light Chandelier with a Pair of Matching Sconces
This hard to find matching Art Deco set, finished in “Old Gold”, comes from the Rayburn Series by Virden.
The Rayburn Series Art Deco slip shade chandelier was made by Virden Circa 1934-36. It was their model 8035 from that Rayburn series and was “top of the line” for that series since they never made a 6-light version. The sconces are matching and from the same catalog.
The chandelier has five medium base sockets that can accept 100 watt incandescent, or equivalent LED, bulbs. The amber shades make this set a very striking example. Each sconce has one medium base socket and has a rotary switch which is an identical copy of the one Virden used.
The amber embossed shades are really quite nice as the detailed pictures show. All of the sockets are capable of accepting 100 watt incandescent light bulbs or LED bulbs.
Both the chandelier and sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop. They both are ready to hang immediately upon arrival as we will supply all the mounting hardware required.
