ANT-1197 Art Deco Chandelier with Cut Glass Center Panels
Wonderful Art Deco 1930s chandelier. This is such an unusual light, it is hard to find a place to start. First, it is a 6-light fixture. Five of the lights are on the arms mounted within those gorgeous iconic amber shades. Then there is the light in the center behind the fine--cut glass--center panels.
This chandelier has been re-wired in our UL lamp shop with new sockets and wired to UL standards. Each new socket can easily take a 100 watt bulb giving a total of 600 watts of light if so desired. Of course, LED bulbs are neat too. And to light the center for it’s full length, we will include that lovely tubular LED bulb for the center. You can use this way or change it out with either a normal medium base or chandelier base bulb since we are including an adapter, for both, for the socket of the center cluster.
The five cut glass center panels are just plain gorgeous. They slip in from the top and I am pleased to say that they are in mint condition with so little roughness that it is not worth discussing.
The iconic Art Deco shades, of each arm, are in outstanding condition with only the most minor of roughness. The metal of the chandelier is cast iron with mixed metals throughout- all of which have a nice ambiance of a pewter finish. Unique design here compared with other chandeliers that we have had with the center glass panel design.
Cut glass center panels...amber iconic shades...nice reticulated metal work....what a statement it makes !
