ANT-1181 Art Deco “Top-of-the-Line” Chandelier (A Near Matched Pair—Sold Each)
Isco of Los Angeles and San Francisco, showed this fixture in their 1935 catalog and named it “The Georgian Line”. While Isco was a reseller of other company’s chandeliers, it is believed that they also were manufacturers, on a smaller scale, with a uniqueness all their own. Since this chandelier only appears in their catalog, it can be assumed that they were the makers of this outstanding light.
The unique reticulated frame is nicely finished in it’s original old gold and muted hue colors finish. And, like a good old persian carpet, it is nicely muted and aged. An outstanding Art Deco Slip Shade chandelier. Totally iconic with it’s original antique finish with such lovely amber near mint shades.
They made two versions of this chandelier. One had ONLY the slip shades on the outside rim and this upscale model which had the slip shades but also included a center mounted light shining thru a Mica center panel. The metal center cone slides slightly up and the Mica panel can be slid aside enough to change light bulbs. Pretty neat.
