ANT-1128 Art Deco Slip Shade Pair of Sconces by Mid West..Circa 1930
Truly an iconic Art Deco pair of sconces. Often called “clam shell” sconces, they are as typical of the Deco era as they can be.
Old Gold finished backplates, with highlights and a wonderful pair of shades that are painted design on the inside of the glass, rather than on the outside. Good quality. The shades are in remarkable condition with strong coloring and a very pleasing appearance.
These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the rotary switches, made by Leviton in the 20’s...and still made up to four years ago. So these switches, by Leviton are becoming even more antique as we note this.
Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice.
