ANT-1097 Art Deco 3 Shade Chandelier by Gill Glass & Fixture Co.
Gill Glass & Fixture Co., Philadelphia, PA, USA. From their catalog 17, Circa 1935.
Gill was a bit of a Art Deco rebel. He did not like angular Art Deco lines. He actually wrote papers criticizing the departure from traditional Victorian/Edwardian lines to a design, he considered, a lazy design with straight lines.

Here is a variation of the “Du Barry Line” 3 light fixture from Gill’s catalog of Circa 1935.
The variation consists of being a Pewter finish, instead of “Pastelle Gold” and the finials are from other lines that they made. Both of which Gill offered, but, probably was a special order event.
The condition of this Gill chandelier is simply wonderful and very decorative.
The shades are amber in color and in very respectable condition. WE...Don’t like where Gill Co. put the mold separation of the shade...right down the center...but that is original too...so not much we can do about it. Still, a remarkable condition 3 shade “Du Barry Line’’ chandelier.
We have rewired this neat chandelier to UL standards with new sockets in our UL shop.
So, the chandelier is ready to hang with a standard light mounting kit which we will supply.
Measurements: 14" tall with a width of 13 1/2".
Uses either incandescent or LEDs . We do not supply the bulbs but the LED bulb: 45-E26B is recommended.
Price: $ 750.00 complete with shades plus shipping charges.
