ANT-1002 Magnificent LARGE and Imposing Pair of French Embossed Shade Art Deco Sconces
The sconces date from about 1920-35 and are some of the finest examples of french glass making.
Really beautiful glass with heavy floral design embossing and a 3 panel design..simply stunning.
The glass shades are fully and deeply embossed with the flowers protruding from the surface and the floral edges are also nicely embossed.
Usually, Art Deco sconces are normally small...and with French sconces...the frames are very minimal letting the shades make the decorative statements.
When we received these sconces, we carefully considered how to replace the single french socket since the light generated simply under-whelmed the shade.
After experimenting with types and arrangements of sockets, we decided to mount a pair of E-12 chandelier sockets to give an even spread of light on the outstanding shade.
We stock a special long tube bulb which gives even and widespread light to this wonderful pair of sconces and we will include a full compliment of four bulbs with the sconces.
See the picture attached for the bulb we used and works very nicely.
Our stock number for this bulb is E12-5W27.
As described, these sconces have been totally wired in our UL listed shop. There is no sconce switch as is typical with French sconces. Full UL mounting crossbars will be supplied.
Measurements: An impressive 10 1/2” wide and 8 3/4” tall. These sconces will project into the room 6”.
Price: $ 1,850.00 for these impressive French sconces (as shown)... plus careful shipping.
