Here is a great Art Deco statement for that special Art Deco designed room.
Our Kenk team designed this fine chandelier from verified components and designs of the Art Deco era with special attention to the angularity and flavor of that special “Great Depression” era.
There were stylized images of human figures and animals throughout the Art Deco period, beginning with the Paris expo (Exposition des Arts Decoratifs) in 1925. We understand that this French exposition is where Art Deco originally got its name shortened from the title of that expo. It also was the birthplace of many of these fine design elements.
Shown with “our” designed VERY Art Deco shade 0319G and 0319AMG. Together, they make a very significant statement of your Art Deco taste and preference of design. It surely is a focal point in any room and can often be a topic of conversation. See the available shades for this chandelier in the photos, or choose your own.
Cast, as other originals of the period, in white metal and then finished to taste. We can supply this chandelier in two of the normal 1930's finishes: a high low finish with dark background, or the pewter one-tone finish, often called a matte finish. We can even do a red bronze finish (sm extra charge) if so desired.
This is no light-weight chandelier. It is heavy since it is almost completely Lost Wax cast like jewelry is made and has heavy cast metal sections. Nothing but the best here.
Wiring: While there are SIX shades to the perimeter, with six normal medium based sockets, there are also two medium based sockets in the center of the light.
One of those center sockets points downward to light the bottom center shade (small bulb suggested) and one points upward to light the fine bevelled and stacked center glass panels. Yes, the center glass panels are actually three pieces of glass each. Each panel is cut and bevelled in diminishing sizes, stair step style, so iconic in deco design.
Measurements:
Chandelier with Shades: The lowest part of the chandelier, even with our shades in place, is the finial. Height: from the ceiling to the bottom of the finial is 40”. This can be easily shortened by nipping the rod to as little as about 26” or anywhere in-between. If we attached the canopy to the top plate...we could shorten it to about 24” in height. It has a diameter of 23” with our 0319 shades.
Priced with & without shades. With shades you can choose either frosted finish or amber finish for the 6 perimeter shades and center bottom shade. Center glass panels remain frosted. (special colors of shades and panels by arrangement).
Bought without shades, you can perhaps use that outstanding set of Art Deco shades you have been saving. Otherwise, you can order our recommended
0319G frosted or 0319AMG amber shades. Also making a nice statement could be the 0333G or 0333AMG shades.
When purchased “without shades” the chandelier still DOES come complete with the center stacked bevelled glass panels and with the very bottom center shade that has the applied finial.
