Very interesting French turn-of-the-century chandelier with “white” mica paneling over the reticulated section. Made from Solid brass, this chandelier has a interesting mix of other components. The crystal dome at the bottom just seems to make this light come alive. Then there is a covering of “white mica” over the pierced rococo style design center. A quality design.
Taking it one step further, when we re-wired this fixture, we decided to give it the added dimension of Induction Lighting. (lasts 60,000 to 100,000 hours).
One of the pictures shows the inside of the fixture with an induction circle lighting the entire light. The induction bulb is using only 40 watts but is outputting the equivalent of 264 watts of incandescent light. We love this adaptation but ..perhaps you won’t.
Even though we carry replacement bulbs, alternatively, you COULD replace it with any mogul based incandescent bulb if you so wished. We just think it is neat that this antique can have a “green” adaptation too. And since the bulb is not seen directly, it would be a bit of a mystery to your friends and a definite point of “green” discussion and knowledge.
Overall Light Measurements:
Height: 28”
Spread: 22”
If you wish a longer light, or just slightly shorter, we can do this for you by adding or subtracting chain.
