874-1RS-PB Polished Unlacquered Brass Rococo Gaslight Sconce Recreation Circa 1850
874-1RS-DK Antique Brass Finish Rococo Gaslight Sconce Recreation Circa 1850
When we found this antique gaslight sconce original, we just had to recreate it. It is just so gorgeous!
Believed to be originally made by Hooper circa 1850, it is simply a joy.
That wonderful wall canopy with the typical Victorian grape and leaf pattern moving into a lovely sweeping arm with gas key, makes a real statement. The matching 2 ⅝” shade fitter with clusters of grapes cascading down is just so complete.
We actually saw this fitter on our 876 chandelier as well, which made us realize that this match would be nicely striking. But of course, this sconce is so striking that it can make a Victorian statement all by itself.
